De Beers has developed a proprietary process of protection for you and your diamond. All diamonds (excluding the Forever collection) above .30 carats that pass our stringent criteria are microscopically branded with the De Beers Marque. Completely invisible to the naked eye, this microscopic etching ensures that each stone will retain its identify as a De Beers official diamond, as it passes from generation to generation, or has its original setting changed. This process does not in any way affect the diamond's carat weight, color, or clarity grading. The stone is then catalogued in the De Beers Diamond Registry, providing an additional level of protection and security.

Although the Forever Collection does not contain the De Beers Marque all of the diamonds are laser engraved with "De Beers" on the girdle (outer edge of the diamond) for your added protection.
