Shipping

At DeBeers.com, we do not charge our clients for shipping and handling. We send all merchandise using Fed-Ex Insured Overnight service. Please allow 3-4 days for delivery once you have placed your order.

It is very important to note that a signature will be required in order for parcels from DeBeers.com to be delivered. We will email you the Fed-Ex tracking number of your parcel once it has been dispatched. Please make sure that you or someone you trust is available to sign for the package upon delivery.

Currently, DeBeers.com is only able to accept online orders to shipping and billing addresses within the United States.


Return Policy

We hope you are delighted with your De Beers jewelry. If for any reason you decide not to keep your online purchase, De Beers will accept merchandise in its original condition for a full refund when accompanied by the original sales slip. Refunds may only be issued in the same form as was utilized for payment. Merchandise must be returned within 30 days from date of delivery. Please note that any associated shipping costs will not be subject to refund and that a different return policy may be applicable for in-store purchases. Before returning the item(s), you will need to contact our representatives on 1-888-376-9230 to obtain a Returned Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. The item you return must be presented in saleable condition with the appropriate sales invoice and all original packaging and enclosures. Take care to return any certificates that accompanied the item, as neglecting to do so will render you liable for the $250 replacement cost. We recommend shipping returned merchandise via insured parcel post for tracking purposes. We also recommend that customers request adequate insurance to cover the purchase price of the shipment. De Beers will not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation in the event that return packages are lost, stolen, or mishandled. We cannot accept returns that have been worn, used, altered or damaged. We reserve the right to refuse return of any merchandise that does not meet the above return requirements according to De Beers’ sole discretion.


Sales Tax

Local taxes, if applicable, will be added to your order. De Beers Diamond Jewellers collects sales tax for all states in which we have a retail presence. As of November 2008 those states are New York, Virginia, Florida, Texas, Nevada, and California.


Payment Options

We currently accept Visa, MasterCard and American Express. If you would like to pay by wire transfer, or if you would like to split your transaction across more than one credit card, we will happily arrange this for you. Please contact De Beers Client Services at 888-376-9230 during normal business hours for assistance.


Packaging

All purchases will be hand-wrapped for you in our signature white gift box with our De Beers logo ribbon. A gift bag will be included for you to present your gift. At checkout you have the option of including a gift message with each item purchased which will come with your package enclosed in a white envelope. Your purchase will then be securely packaged in an unmarked corrugated box and shipped via insured FedEx Priority Overnight.

Follow the directions through the checkout process to complete your order. A: We do not currently offer financing plans; however, we are always striving to meet the needs of our clients and are looking to offer this option in the near future. Q: Do you offer customized pieces?
A: We do not offer customization, however, all of our collections have been designed to showcase the beauty of the diamonds and we are certain you will find a piece that you will love.

Q: Do you sell the settings or loose diamonds?
A: No, all of our diamonds are already mounted in our unique De Beers signature settings. This enables us to offer the best quality control in our diamonds and settings with the most recognized name in the industry.

Q: Do you guarantee your jewelry?
A: Every diamond jewelry purchase comes with our De Beers Diamond Passport. Each diamond is meticulously catalogued and documented for you; from the unique numbered code we give every stone, to the color, clarity, carat weight, metal type and the exact cut and measurements. The De Beers Diamond Passport is also our guarantee that every single De Beers diamond is natural, untreated, conflict-free and child labor-free.

We do not guarantee your diamond against damage, loss or theft and we recommend you obtain insurance as you would with any other luxury purchase

Q: Where do De Beers diamonds come from?
A: De Beers sources the finest diamonds from all over the world and sells only diamonds that are 100% conflict-free.

Q: What are conflict diamonds?
A: Conflict diamonds are rough, uncut diamonds used by rebel movements or their allies to finance armed conflict aimed at undermining legitimate governments. In 1998, the Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) - Global Witness brought to the world’s attention the fact that rebel groups were funding their war against the legitimate government in this way.

The De Beers Group has been working with governments through the United Nations and other international organizations to ensure that future conflicts cannot be funded in this way, and the De Beers Group was instrumental in creating the World Diamond Council to represent the international diamond and jewelry industry in the Kimberley Process.

Q: How do I find out more about the Diamond Class Action Settlement?
A: Although the De Beers Group, the mining and rough diamond sales company, is one of the shareholders in De Beers Diamond Jewellers, we cannot speak for De Beers on this issue. However, there is a website set up by the lawyers of the plaintiffs of this class action, www.diamondclassaction.com, where consumers can find out more about the settlement and whether, and if so how, they are able to make a claim.

Q: Is my purchase from a De Beers store covered by the Diamond Class Action Settlement?
A: Purchases of diamond jewelry from a De Beers store are not covered by the Settlement and you cannot submit a claim for such purchases.
