Inspired by the way stepped surfaces dramatically play with light and shade, the Ascending Shadows set is innovative in many ways, including its use of anodised titanium, a strong yet light metal. The designs are also captivatingly inventive, none more so than this bijou de tête, a fine titanium headband with a sweeping double fan that detaches to form a brooch. Dark blue titanium steps unfurl to frame light blue titanium, pavé-set with round brilliant white diamonds that graduate towards prong-set marquise-cut white diamonds and green roughs. In the centre sits an exquisite 2.70 carat oval-shaped fancy grey diamond. High-jewellery at its most head-turning and boundary-pushing.
