Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter collide in the one-of-a-kind creations of Prelude, the first set in the Metamorphosis by De Beers High Jewellery Collection.

Inspired by the splendour of winter, the buds of spring, ripples on summer sand, and autumn’s russet tones, four strands showcase distinct combinations of yellow, white and rose gold alongside white, yellow and brown diamonds in a harmony of expert goldsmithing and setting techniques. The intricately crafted clasp encircles a 0.73 carat round brilliant diamond, for a total weight of 11.02 carats.

This pair of yellow, white and rose-gold, and diamond oval hoop earrings flatter the jawline with an array of specialised goldsmithing techniques including serti neige, fil couteau and perlage. The hoops feature 3.67 carats of white, yellow and brown-coloured diamonds in four diamond-set strands that culminate in two elegant pavé-set diamond tips.

This transformable necklace features four strands of diamonds suspended between two intricately detailed medallions. A masterclass of savoir-faire, bead-set diamonds are joined by fil couteau to a rope of yellow gold, brown diamonds and serti neige white gold. On the medallions the strands circle two round brilliant 0.70 carat white diamonds. The dazzling medallions can be detached and used to fasten the necklace as a rivière, and the four strands can also be worn alone.

Sumptuous, stylish and versatile, the Prelude Necklace and Brooch offers three looks. A white-gold necklace features an icy river of bezel-set diamonds. Classically elegant when worn alone, the necklace becomes breathtaking when adorned with a rare 10.05 carat Fancy Light Yellow pear-shaped diamond clip at the centre of strands of yellow, white and rose gold. The clip can also be worn as a dazzling brooch.

The Prelude aesthetic has been translated into a striking, contemporary yellow, white and rose-gold and titanium ear cuff paired with a white diamond stud earring. The diamond cuff hugs the contour of the ear, with white and brown diamonds tracing its curves. Four diamond-set strands cascade towards the shoulder, each showcasing a different goldsmithing technique to symbolise the seasons. The fluid strands shimmer and dance, each one finished with a cone-shaped coloured-titanium chrysalis, which can be removed and worn on an accompanying charm bracelet.
