De Beers iconic designs as seen in the new Disney film “Cruella”
A selection of De Beers signature high jewellery designs shine in the new Disney film “Cruella “. The film starring Academy Award® winners Emma Stone as young Cruella, and Emma Thompson as Baroness Von Hellman, is set amongst the backdrop of 1970s London and follows the rebellious early days of one of cinema’s most notoriously fashionable villains.
Designs captured on screen and worn by the character Baroness Von Hellman include the Arpeggia five-line necklace and three-line earrings in white gold, Diamond Legends by De Beers Cupid necklace, Swan Lake necklace in white and yellow gold, and the Assana necklace.
The film will release simultaneously in theatres and on Disney+ with Premier Access on Friday, May 28.
The Arpeggia five-line necklace and three-line earrings in white gold capture the haute-couture prowess of Baroness Von Hellman. Inspired by Beethoven’s Moonlight Sonata, the Arpeggia collection arranges round brilliant diamonds on cascading lines of micropavé, like the notes of the score. The fluidity of the threads and the perfectly spaced curation of unique diamonds give visual form to the melody.

Additional jewellery designs captured on screen include the Diamond Legends by De Beers Cupid necklace - a modern take on the diamond line. Two symmetrical lines of princess-cut diamonds form the body of this elegant necklace, framed by a row of marquise-shaped diamonds, their form mirroring Cupid’s feathered wings. The Swan Lake necklace in white and yellow gold pays tribute to the beauty of Tchaikovsky’s ballet, whilst the Assana necklace gives shimmering form to the ancient tale that saw diamonds formed from stars, transforming into drops of water as they touched the earth.
