On March 21st 2019, De Beers Jewellers reopened in Taipei 101, the city’s renowned super tall tower, itself symbolising the future with all its possibilities. The store, spread across 130 square metres, has been transformed in line with other De Beers’ global flagships, such as the Madison Avenue store in New York and the Harrods store in London.
Filled with light and accented with etched glass, the interior pairs champagne gold tones with De Beers’ signature Millennium Blue. The result is a warm and welcoming environment in which to enjoy rare diamonds and the jewellery that showcases them, with the addition of an exclusive private salon where clients can appreciate pieces in absolute privacy and comfort.
With this in mind, the De Beers Taipei 101 store will not only house permanent collections such as Enchanted Lotus, Talisman and Dewdrop, but will provide opportunities to view exceptional high jewellery pieces.
During the opening ceremony on 10th April 2019, Ms Catherine Shum, Managing Director of De Beers Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau, welcomed the Korean celebrity Cha Seung Won to cut the ribbon on what promises to be a sparkling welcome for a new era of De Beers Jewellers in Taiwan. In a first for Taiwan, and fittingly for a store that represents the Home of Diamonds since 1888, key pieces from the Diamond Legends by De Beers high jewellery collection were on show during the event, and will remain in-store for a limited time only.
